Thechi Nadan Red—also known as Thechi or Chethi in Malayalam—a fiery red flowering shrub scientifically known as Ixora coccinea. Commonly referred to as Flame of the Woods or Jungle Geranium, it's a beloved ornamental and ritual plant in Kerala.

  • Soil & Location: Thrives in well-draining, acidic soil with fertile organic content. Prefers full sun to partial shade for best flowering 

  • Fertilization: Apply organic manure like cow dung and groundnut cake every two months. Support healthy growth and flowering

    Watering: Requires regular watering to keep soil moist but not soggy.
