    About the Product

Chamaedorea elegans, commonly called Parlor Palm, is one of the most popular indoor palms because it’s hardy, elegant, and tolerant of low light. It’s also one of the best beginner-friendly houseplants.

Here’s a full plant care guide:

    🌱 General Information

    • Scientific name: Chamaedorea elegans

    • Common names: Parlor Palm, Neanthe Bella Palm

    • Family: Arecaceae (Palm family)

    • Type: Small, slow-growing palm (indoor/ornamental)

    • Height: Typically 2–6 feet indoors (can reach 8 feet with age)

    • Leaves: Graceful, feathery fronds with multiple leaflets

    🌍 Growing Conditions

    • Light: Thrives in low to medium indirect light. Avoid direct sun (scorches leaves).

    • Humidity: Likes moderate to high humidity. Tolerates average home humidity but benefits from misting in dry air.

    • Soil: Well-draining potting mix (peat-based with perlite or sand).

    💧 Watering

    • Keep soil slightly moist, but not soggy.

    • Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feels dry.

    • Reduce watering in winter when growth slows.

    • Ensure pot has drainage holes to prevent root rot.

    🌿 Fertilizing

    • Use a balanced liquid fertilizer (diluted to half strength) once a month during spring and summer.

    • Do not over fertilize—this plant is sensitive to salts.

    ✂️ Pruning & Maintenance

    • Remove yellow or brown fronds at the base with clean scissors.

    • Wipe leaves occasionally to remove dust.

    • Repot every 2–3 years, only when roots outgrow the pot (they like being root-bound).

    🪴 Propagation

    • Not easy to propagate at home. Usually grown from seed (very slow).

    • Best to purchase a new plant rather than attempt propagation.

    🐾 Pet Safety

✅ Non-toxic to cats and dogs (safe houseplant choice).
