Stag Horn Fern

Staghorn Fern (Platycerium spp.) is an epiphytic fern known for its unique, antler-shaped fronds that make it a striking ornamental plant. It thrives in bright indirect sunlight or filtered light, similar to its natural forest habitat. The potting mixture should be loose and airy—typically a blend of orchid bark, coco husk, and sphagnum moss, or it can be mounted on wood with moss. Water regularly to keep the roots and moss moist but not soggy, allowing slight drying between waterings. Feed the plant every month during the growing season with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer to promote healthy frond development.
