    About the Product

    Plant Details

    • Botanical Name: Psidium guajava

    • Common Name: Kilo Pera, Giant Guava, Kilo Guava

    • Family: Myrtaceae

    • Type: Evergreen, fast-growing fruit tree

    • Speciality: Produces very large fruits (up to ~1 kg each) with sweet, juicy flesh.

     Care Guide

    Sun Light

    • Needs full sun (6–8 hrs daily) for maximum flowering and fruiting.

    • Can tolerate partial shade, but fruit size and sweetness reduce.

     Soil

    • Best in well-drained sandy loam enriched with organic matter.

    • Tolerates a wide range of soils but avoid waterlogging.

     Watering

    • Young plants: Regular watering to establish roots.

    • Mature plants: Moderate watering. Water more during fruit set & development.

    • Avoid overwatering → root rot & poor fruit quality.

     Fertilizer

    • Apply organic compost/manure twice a year.

    • During fruiting season, use balanced NPK fertilizer (10:10:10 or 15:15:15).

    • Foliar sprays of micronutrients improve fruit size and sweetness.

     Pruning

    • Prune in early spring or after harvest.

    • Remove dead, weak, or crossing branches.

    • Thinning the fruits helps remaining ones grow bigger (important for Kilo variety).
