    • Habit: Dense, bushy crown, suitable for hedges and avenue planting.

    Care Guide

    1. Sun Light

    • Prefers full sun for best colorful foliage.

    • Can tolerate partial shade, but colors will be less vibrant.

    2. Watering

    • Requires moderate watering.

    • Keep soil moist, especially when young.

    • Once established, tolerates short dry spells.

    3. Soil

    • Thrives in well-draining, fertile soil.

    • Prefers slightly acidic to neutral pH.

    4. Fertilizer

    • Apply organic compost or NPK fertilizer during growing season.

    • Balanced fertilizer every 2–3 months helps maintain leaf color.

    5. Pruning

    • Responds well to pruning → can be shaped into hedges, topiary, or kept as a small ornamental tree.

    • Regular trimming encourages new red leaf flushes.

     Uses & Benefits

    1. Ornamental value – valued for its red young foliage and pink flowers.

    2. Hedges & Landscaping – commonly used in tropical gardens, parks, and roadside avenues.

    3. Wildlife support – flowers attract bees & butterflies, fruits attract birds.

    4. Medicinal (traditional) – some Syzygium species are used in folk medicine, though this species is mostly ornamental.

    5. Environmental – good for urban greening since it absorbs dust, provides shade, and tolerates pollution.
