Snow Rose All seasonal flowering plant

The Snow Rose Plant is a beautiful small shrub often grown as an ornamental or bonsai. It’s admired for its delicate, rose-like white blooms and compact growth.

• Scientific name: Serissa japonica 

• Common names: Snow Rose, Tree of a Thousand Stars, Japanese Boxthorn

• Type: Evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub

• Height: 1–3 ft tall (can be shaped smaller as bonsai)

• Leaves: Tiny, glossy, dark green leaves 

• Flowers: Small, star-shaped, white flowers (resemble miniature roses) that bloom heavily in spring–summer and sporadically through the year

 Growing Conditions

• Sun Light: Bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Outdoors: partial shade. Indoors: near a bright window.

• Soil: Well-draining

 Watering

• Keep soil consistently moist, but not soggy.

• Never allow soil to completely dry out (leaves may drop).

 Fertilizer

• use a balanced fertilizer.

Care & Maintenance

• Pruning: Responds well to pruning → encourages bushy growth and flower production.

• Repotting: Every 2–3 years in spring.

• Pests/Diseases: May attract aphids, spider mites, scale, or whiteflies; treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

• Very popular as a bonsai plant because of its small leaves, pretty flowers, and ability to be shaped
