    About the Product

The Red Miniature Anthurium  is a compact variety of the popular Anthurium andraeanum (also called Flamingo Flower, Tailflower, or Laceleaf). Unlike the large anthuriums, the miniature form stays small and is perfect for indoor decoration, table tops, and small spaces.

    General Information

    • Scientific Name: Anthurium andraeanum (miniature cultivar)

    • Common Name: Miniature Red Anthurium, Flamingo Flower

    • Type: Evergreen perennial (ornamental)

    • Height: 20–40 cm (8–15 inches) in mini varieties

    • Leaves: Dark green, heart-shaped, glossy

    • Flowers:

Blooms last 6–8 weeks and can appear several times a year

     Growing Conditions

    • Sun Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh sun (burns leaves). Too little light = fewer flowers.

    • Humidity: Loves high humidity (60–80%). Place on a pebble tray or mist regularly if indoors.

    • Soil: Loose, well-draining mix — orchid mix + peat + perlite/cocopeat is ideal. Needs airy soil for roots.

     Watering
    • Keep soil slightly moist, but never soggy.

    • Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry.

    • Reduce watering slightly in winter.

    Fertilizer

    • Use a balanced liquid fertilizer  every 4–6 weeks during growing season.

    • For more flowers: use a high-phosphorus fertilizer occasionally.

    • Flush soil every few months to avoid salt buildup.

     Care & Maintenance

    • Pruning: Remove faded flowers and yellow leaves at the base.

    • Repotting: Every 2–3 years, or when roots peek out of the pot. Choose a slightly larger pot each time.

    • Pests: Watch for aphids, mealybugs, and spider mites. Neem oil spray works well.

    Pet Safety

⚠️ Toxic to pets and humans if ingested (contains calcium oxalate crystals). Keep away from cats, dogs, and small children.
