    • Type: Aromatic perennial shrub / small tree

    • Leaves: Pinnate leaves with 9–25 small, aromatic leaflets that release a strong fragrance when crushed.

    • Flowers: Small, fragrant, white, star-shaped clusters.

    • Fruits: Small, round, purplish-black berries (edible but not commonly eaten).

     Care Guide

    Sun Light

    • Needs full sun (6–8 hrs) for lush growth.

    • Can tolerate partial shade but leaf production reduces.

    Soil

    • Prefers well-drained sandy loam or loamy soil with good organic matter.

    • pH: slightly acidic to neutral (6–7.5).

     Watering

    • Water regularly to keep soil slightly moist.

    • Young plants: more frequent watering.

    • Mature plants: drought-tolerant but produce more leaves with regular watering.

     Fertilizer

    • Apply organic manure/compost every 2–3 months.

    • Use nitrogen-rich fertilizer (like urea, cow dung, or vermicompost) for lush leaf growth.

    • Bone meal or fish amino acids can be added occasionally.

     Pruning

    • Regularly prune to encourage bushy growth.

    • Pinch off flowers if you want more leaves (flowering reduces leaf production).
