• Flowers: Bright yellow with black dots on the petals, usually bloom around late June (close to St. John’s Day—hence the name).

 Growing Conditions

• Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade

• Soil: Well-draining, moderately fertile

• Water: Drought-tolerant once established; prefers moderate watering

  • Light pruning after flowering helps maintain a bushy shape.

  • Remove faded flowers to encourage new blooms.

    • Use a balanced fertilizer (NPK 10:10:10 or similar) once every 3–4 weeks during the growing/flowering season.
