     General Information

    • Scientific name: Brunfelsia pauciflora

    • Common names: Yesterday-Today-and-Tomorrow, Kiss-Me-Quick, Morning-Noon-and-Night

    • Family: Solanaceae (nightshade family)

    • Type: Evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub

    • Height: 3–8 ft tall in pots; up to 10 ft in the ground

    • Leaves: Glossy, lance-shaped, deep green

    • Flowers: Fragrant, funnel-shaped, and color-changing:

      • Purple/violet on the first day (yesterday)

      • Light lavender on the second day (today)

      • White on the third day (tomorrow)

      • Blooming season: mainly spring–summer, but can flower intermittently in warm climates
